Retiring asset using API FA_RETIREMENT_PUB.do_retirement

I am trying to retire a asset using API FA_RETIREMENT_PUB.do_retirement , asset which is was trying to retire was fully depreciated, after running the program it completed is error with "error in retirement" where as it is working fine where asset is not fully depreciated.

Is this standard functionality ??
