hugepages calculation and Doc ID 401749.1

Dear Ann Landers,

Looking at Doc ID 401749.1 and the provided script for calculating proper setting of hugepages . . .

The script presents these comments:

 For ASM instance, it needs to configure ASMM instead of AMM.

Why would the make a point of mentioning that for ASM instances and not for db instances?

The 'pga_aggregate_target' is outside the SGA and   you should accommodate this while calculating SGA size.

Huh?  Am I misunderstanding something (quite possible)?  It sounds to me like it is saying "this script will not (cannot?) account for PGA_AGGREGATE_TARGET, but you need to factor that in, anyway". If that is so, then what value is the script, if it doesn't/can't account for all the factors it needs to?
