customization on commitment view PA_COMMITMENT_TXNS_V in 12.2.x.

We customized the Oracle commitment view PA_COMMITMENT_TXNS_V to include our external commitments and registered the commitment view file (odf file). We are planning to upgrade to 12.2.x from 12.1.3.  How should we move away from our customization in order to fully utilize the 12.2.x 'online patching' functionality?
