Configurator and Direct ship orders

Hi, I'm in 9.2 version working with Sales orders including configured items (stock type C) and line type D (Drop ship).

I found from Oracle that this is supported at Parent or component level.

I tested a parent level scenario creating an order. Configurator screen pop ups and you can select options.

There is is NO Inclusion rules set up. Order is created and direct ship purchase also (OD). It assumes that the "parent" item will be sent from vendor to customer.

There is NO components in the sales order to be ship (which is expected). The question is how the vendor will know the configuration selected (options)?
