Weighted Average Cost

Hello,

Is it ok to update the system constants to calculate weighted average cost online?

The current set up is not to calculate weighted average cost online. This is because there was no item with weighted average cost till now. All items were standard cost based.

Now there is a requirement to use JDE for MRO parts and hence would like to use weighted average cost. Due to this reason, we would like to update the system constants to calculate the weighted average cost online. Has anyone had similar requirement and have you updated the system constants to meet this requirement? Please let me know.
