More information about FAMILY clause on ALTER SYSTEM

Hi Community...

I'm reading about the field instance_mode on v$instance (for the use of Oracle RAC Reader Nodes), and I saw the use of clause FAMILY  on ALTER SYSTEM statement.

I have a curiosity about the clause FAMILY and researched on Oracle Database Documentation(12.2, 18.3 and 19.3), Oracle Support and Google, and I didn't found any note or document to clarify what is that clause.

Can anybody help me to provide an explanation or documentation about the FAMILY clause on ALTER SYSTEM?
