What should I expect when GATHER_FIXED_OBJECTS_STATS is executed?

HI Everyone,

I needed to know about the GATHER_FIXED_OBJECTS_STATS package and if there are any risks involved pertaining to database performance or physical files? We're running version Oracle database EE 11.2.0.3.0 .

I have been reading on this package but need to know from practical experience, the pros and cons of the execution.
