importing account dimension to a separate application

Hello,

We are using 11.1.2.4 and have created two separate applications

The DBAs have migrated the apps to a new instance on the DEV environment

The two apps are both pulling from EPMA but have different accounts

  APP1 all accounts

APP2 - all accounts with exclusions

To migrate the account dimension separately,  I am thinking you will have to extract a separate app file of metadata from both apps

Then using the import profile, import each each separate app file to the individual applications.

Does this have to go through lcm or can you just extract the app file to desktop and import?
