Average Balance Behavior EBS R12

We are implementing GL module in a banking industry and one of the requirement is to use the Average Balance. Showing the EOD, PATD, QATD, YATD balance for all accounts (Balance Sheet and P & L Accounts). I would like to seek for any comments on below items,

1. Our client is using a monthly period and consolidating the amounts from Subsidiary to Parent Ledger in a Balance Method. In this case, the EOD amount in Parent shows the same amount of EOD from Day 1 to Day 31. -- I assume this is the case because the we are using the balance method and average journals are posted in the first day of the month.
