SL8500 and LTO8 "Clean Now"

Hi,

We are using two SL8500's (FW 8.67) with a mix of T10KC, T10KD and LTO8 (FW JAYM) drives. The LTO8 is our latest addition and our first LTO drive in the libraries.

Normally ACSLS sees a cleaning request and cleans the drive before mounting a new volume. Whether it is T10KC T10KD or LTO8.

But for the LTO8 drives we see Tape Alert 14h (20 decimal) "Clean Now" requests. This is shown in the scsi log sense data of the drives and shows up in the error reporting of our linux system.

But these specific cleaning requests are never shown in ACSLS. And so the drive never gets cleaned for these alerts.
