How long does it take to do all setups for EAM mobile Maintenance?

I am still confused about the difference in Mobile Maintenance versus pocket PC.  It seems they are one and the same.

To use Mobile Maintenance, would one use a phone, or some other handheld device

It seems there are a lot of patches needed to use this. The Wireless Maintenance User Workbench doesn't look like I have it setup correctly.  Looks like it is not as complicated as the whole html EAM work order page.
