Moving quorum server to another location on new hardware

Current set up are there are two nodes in the cluster along with one standalone quorum server running on old hardware (V490).

Which I think is the correct setup.

Current cluster software versions is 4.2 - should we be thinking of upgrading it all to 4.4?

Will a 4.4 quorum server work with 4.2 nodes as another option?

OK, we plan to move the quorum onto another server in a remote location. Concerns are problems in the event of hardware failures on this quorum server.

So options:-

1. Can we have two quorum servers live at the same time? Or would that screw up the entire voting idea?
