Update S_CONTACT.PERSON_UID through EIM

Can we update S_CONTACT.PERSON_UID column through EIM process. I tried with EIM_Contact3 table. But this column is not getting updated. IF_ROW_STAT is showing as DUP_RECORD_EXISTS
