Pick Slip Number (PSN) reset when backordered

Hello,

I'm working with E9.1

When a sales order line is backordered, the pick slip # previously generated via R42520 is cleared. Once we resubmit R42520, a new pick number is created.

When we backorder a line which is set as an 'N' line type (non stock); the status is updated to 904/536, the Quantity Backordered bucket is populated, however the pick number (PSN) is not cleared.

Can someone advise if there's a setting for this when pertaining to 'N' line types?
