How to migrate EM 13.2 from Solaris to Linux without creation of new repository database and losing

edited Aug 14, 2019 5:02AM in Enterprise Manager Generic (MOSC) 1 commentAnswered

Dear all,

Does anyone have a procedure to move my EM 13.2 OMS from one operating system to another. The existing EM repository does not need to be moved as it resides on a different machine and should be kept.

I tried already 2 below methods:

1. The below method fails when doing the omsca recover command with error : "Error while validating properties from backup file: Exported OS version is not compatible with local OS"

          1. OMS BACKUP with emctl exportconfig oms

          2. Install s/w only on new host

          3. Install Plugin Homes

          4. Copy swlib from old host to new host

          5. Copy OMS backup file to new host
