Strange New GW Cluster Siebel Bug When App Server Down Get Server Busy

Hi All,

Wanted to share this since we just found what appears to be a new bug nobody else has noticed.  Basically doing load testing during gateway cluster fail over testing we were getting server busy and at first did not understand why.

Here is the basic scenario.  The key to creating the issues is to have one Siebel server down.

  • Start Siebel environment.  In our case only 9 of the 10 servers started.  Server 4 was not started.
  • Start manual and load test and everything is fine.
  • Determine GW cluster leader by launching server manager command line and note which sever gets connected and that is the leader.  GW 3 is the leader.
