OFI F1-4: Interpreting vnics' states

edited Aug 7, 2019 9:00AM in Network Switch and Interconnect (MOSC) 2 commentsAnswered

Good day,

I currently have a F1-4 device with vnics that are in different states. These states have remained unchanged for several hours. For example I have vnics that are "up/hostControlPathDown" and "up/initializing". These states have remained unchanged for several hours now.

According to the Xsigo Manager's manual:

Discovery State = The Fabric Director’s current state in Fabric Manager. The state takes in the format state1/state2.

Discovery State = The state of the discovery process while chassis are being discovered

Valid states include:

• Discovered

• Unmanaged

• Upgrading

• Up/Initializing

• Up/Indeterminate

• Up/VersionMismatch

• Up/HostControlPathDown

• Up/Down

• Up/Up

Howdy, Stranger!
