Requisition AWE approvals - anyone using them?

We are in the process of reviewing the setup for AWE in Purchasing (we have FSCM GL, AP, PO and AM only).  Every document we see states eProcurement.  Can we do AWE for Requisitions with just the Purchasing module?

We saw there are two processes to run for approvals, the first one is "Requisition Amount Approval Application Engine process (PO_WFREQAMT)" and the second one is Requisition ChartField Approval Application Engine process (PO_WFREQCF)".  Do you run these on the requisitions in an "open" status to trigger workflow?

We would like to talk to other companies who have set up AWE for the amount and chartfield approvals (specifically department).
