EE FICA tax not taken but ER is
Part of our medical deduction for employees with domestic partner coverage is Taxable. Occasionally an employee does not receive pay for a pay period and the Taxable deduction is still applied. It adds to both EE and ER FICA Taxable Gross but only the ER FICA tax is taken from the paycheck. If the employee never returns to work, the EE and ER FICA is out of balance. Does anyone have a method for handing that?
