Running 2 One View Servers for fail-over

We are looking to create a fail-over One View Reporting server and had a question about the installation of the second server. Would it be easier to create a second Database and then look for all the locations with the second DB name listed and then change to the name to the 1st DB name. Or would it be easier to install the second instance of One View Reporting and point it to the 1st DB during the install ? What would the install do to the 1st DB ?
