Price groups (F40941, F40942, F40943) Purge question

Hello folks,

When I create a new Price Adjustment that uses a price group, either Item, Customer or Order through P4072, the application trigger creating a price group record in F40491, F40942 or F40943 as applicable.

The inverse is not true if the same adjustment is removed. P4072 does NOT delete price group records that are not in use anymore. Would there be a reason for that? Maybe there's a chance that the same group could be used again, right...

I checked dependencies over F4072, F4078, F4079, F4574, F4575 and a few additional workfiles that are used, and related to the same tables as mentioned.
