Start Reason does not populate the correct life event
Good Afternoon All ~
We are getting into the trenches of BSS via Employee Self Service and have run into a few things so I may have more similar posts.
One thing is that when we add a dependent to our dependents and beneficiaries and choose the relationship it defaults the Start Reason on the Contact to Added During Enrollment. It does not seem to matter what we choose from the relationship drop down.
We would expect this to trigger the life event and then enroll the employee so they can then go in and choose the plans for the added dependent. I think this is not happening because this Added During Enrollment is not a live event. Instead we have to go into OAB access the employee record, then go to contacts and select the correct start reason that corresponds with a life event and process it manually. Hardly self service.
