Upgrade/Migrate from 11gR2 to 12c R2 - New Host

Hi

We have an upcoming project where we need to perform a migration/upgrade of our 11.2.0.4 DB to 12c R2

Currently the 11g DB is appx 400 GB in size and is running on Oracle Linux and the database is on XFS file system

The plan is to have the 12c R2 database on a new system running oracle linux 7

The plan is to

1. Install oracle linux 7 on the new machine and install 11g RDBMS

2. Install 12c RDBMS and ASM on the new machine

3. Install and configure 12c ASM on the new machine

4. Take a backup of current 11g database and restore that on the new machine under (11g HOME)
