SQL Server 2016 SP1 on Windows 2012 R2 ?

Hello community,

We have a customer with the following situation:

Application = JD Edwards Release 9.2

Tools          = JD Edwards Release 9.2.2.4

OS             = Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard

Database   = SQL Server 2014

They want to upgrade their SQL Server 2014 to SQL Server 2016 SP1. However, we can see that this is not certified with their current OS (Win 2012 R2) which means they have to upgrade to Win 2016.

See attached to the output of the Oracle Certifications tab.

Can we have a formal written answer from Oracle about SQL Server 2016 SP1 on Windows 2012 R2?

As you can imagine, upgrading the OS brings a lot of risks here and we would like to know the possibilities.

Howdy, Stranger!
