Can't get rid of Phone and Email on Company Directory

Hello!

Our organization has chosen not to display company emails or phone numbers on the Company Directory, so we have removed those fields in the Chart and Profile Settings page. This works fine for the Org Chart and the Company Directory Profile, but we are finding that when COmpany Directory is initially accessed and shows previously searched individuals, those data elements are still there even though they've been removed on the setup page.  Is this a bug?
