How to mark learners incomplete after the learning period has passed

Is there a way to mark learners as Incomplete after the learning period for their registration passes?  We are specifically looking for something for online classes. My understanding with the auto mark completion, is that it marks the learner as completed, however if they have not completed the class, then they should be marked as incomplete.  Is there any process that will do this automatically?
