Adop patching questions

Dears,

during my EBS upgrade from R12.1.3 to R12.2 I was requested to use Adop online patching and I have some questions to go forward

1-which environment should be set fs1 or fs2

I run both of them to check the %PATCH_TOP% environment variable , but unfortunately this variable is empty ==> any advice ?

2-where exactly should I extract any zip patch file: is it under ..\fs_ne\EBSapps\patch ?

     what is the variable environment related to that ?

please any example to follow or any id note as example how to use Adop?
