what precautions to take before OVM server-3.4.4 reboot and what are the services need to check post reboot

We have OVM Server version 3.4.4 running since 1year and we are planning to reboot the OVM servers now. could you please provide what pre-checks and post-checks we have to perform during reboot and suggest best method to reboot the OVM servers?
