Approach for PRE-PROD and PROD Upgrade

Dear All,

For IP 17 Upgrade on PRE-PROD / PROD.

How do consider the upgrade approach from Database side.

Need confirmation if below is the correct

1. Current PROD - DB is on 10g.....

2. DB will be upgraded to 11g.....{ We will be having scan copy of 10g DB on 11g}

3. Siebe IP 17 will be first run on 11g

4. Once Newly upgrade IP 17 is verified and tested on 11g.

5. 11G DB will be upgraded to 12c.

Can you please confirm this approach.

Any other factors we need to consider from DB migration or upgrade point
