EBS 12.2 Online Patching Query

Hi,

Another part of our organisation has suggested they still apply patches twice in E-Business Suite 12.2, even with Online Patching.  I'd assumed this isn't necessary and that the patches applied to the old Patch Edition would be cloned over to the "new" Patch Edition during either the Finalisation or Cut-over phases?

This isn't overly clear in the documentation so I thought I'd ask here to clarify as we're planning to upgrade to EBS 12.2 in due course and I nee to understand the impact (aside from the clear storage overhead)
