Cannot import item with tax_code

Hi, I am trying to import an item against master org with a tax_code, but getting below error.

TABLE NAME : MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS_INTERFACE

COLUMN NAME : TAX_CODE

MESSAGE NAME : INV_IOI_TAX_CODE

ERROR MESSAGE : The TAX_CODE specified is not a valid Output Tax Classification Code.

I am able to import the item without the tax_code and later assign it from front end. Any one faced this before?
