Update Assignment for Contingent Worker

Good Afternoon All ~

I am looking for a way to automate the creation of a contingent worker and their assignment/job for which they are assigned. 

I only want to populate the job and the location.  I am using this api (hr_assignment_api.update_cwk_asg) along with the other below and I keep getting the error of wrong number or types of arguments in call to API.  I use this all the time just never to update a CW record.  Any suggestions are appreciated. 

hr_assignment_api.update_emp_asg_criteria

        (

         --p_validate       => TRUE

         p_effective_date => g_HireDate
