Adding signature image to Word is not converting to a digital signature field in Adobe

I am adding the image from the clause SHARE_0001_CL_SAMPLE_PDF_SIGN1_2005-01-01.xml to our clause, but it is not converting to a recognized digital signature field when using the Prepare document for signature in Supplier Contracts.

I've read all the provided documentation, but am wondering if it works a different way now.  I am having to manually replace it with a digital signature field.
