Hi,

I'm new to ASM. Has anyone successfully setup audcreatejob in ASM? We are getting a lot of files in $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/audit for our ASM instance. I've been running audcleanaudittrail to clean them up but doing that manually is becoming tiresome. I found audcreatejob which in the help states "To create Audit purge job for ASM Audit files". Sounds perfect right? But when I setup a simple job to test this I get this error:

ASMCMD [+] >  audcreatejob --name AUD_CLEANUP_OS --int 24 --os

ORA-55939: database is not open for attempted operation

ORA-06512: at "SYS.X$DBMS_AUDIT_MGMT", line 137
