Accrue Vacation Days does not take into considarations the Employee start date

I have used various ways of setting up a vacation accrual including Doc ID 878743.1 , Doc ID 625897.1 and it doesn't seem that it takes into consideration the day that the employee started. For example, if the employee started day 15 of the month, s/he doesn't get half the days/hours as s/he should. Also, is it possible to use the pay period total hours in the calculation method for the calculation table of the accrual? I need it in order to make the calculation (Hours Worked) / (Pay Period Total Hours) in order to calculate how many hours/days of vacation corresponds to the employee depending on how much s/he worked.
