BI Publisher Preview PDF results in Preview Failed

Just recently Office 365 upgraded our Office from 2013 to 2016. I am not 100% sure that this caused the issue as I haven't run PDF preview for about 3 weeks.  I am the only one using it.  From Word 2016 I am opening up a .rtf.  I then associate the XML.  When I hit the preview PDF from within the BI Publisher tab I receive an Preview Failed window with the following error message.  I was using the 12.2.1.2.0 version of BI desktop.  I uninstalled, rebooted and installed the 12.2.1.4.0 version and receive a similar error.  I also tried
