Can i apply and configure TLS after upgrade to R12.2.9

Hello,

i'm following the upgrade doc e73540.pdf (Oracle E-Business Suite Upgrade Guide) to upgrade my actual ebs R12.1.3 to R12.2.9 and at steps

"Performing Post-Upgrade Tasks"

7. Apply recommended security patches (recommended)

...

7.2-Oracle highly recommends that you enable TLS

………

You will enable TLS after you upgrade to Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2. You must apply the prerequisite patch requirements to enable TLS

Question:

To minimize the downtime upgrade

can I apply required patches and configure TLS after few days from the upgrade ?

the idea is to make application running and available for end users asap
