installer problem

Hi everyone,

I just read tech document-id 2294098.1 which refers to bug 21800407 (universal installer presents blank screen). however, i'm on a linux x86-64 box, not a sparc solaris one. so, the workaround presented there (set _JAVA_OPTIONS to '-Dsun.java2d.xrender=false' ) does not work for me: the buttons are there, but the text is all "pixel salad", no legible letters. maybe i need a linux-specific value for _JAVA_OPTIONS ??

who can help me ??

os is oracle linux 4.1.12

database version is 12.2
