Rolling Patch - Window to complete

Are there any documents or recommendations from Oracle about how long your cluster can run two different patch level versions of Oracle Database EE?

For example, let's say I have a 4 node cluster and I am applying a PSU and a couple one-offs. Let's say the process to apply the patches to a single node is 1 hour. Management says I can only run with 3 nodes for a total of 1 hour per week.  This means that I will have to patch one of my four nodes every week for a month.  Normally, I like to get all the nodes up to the same level in less than a 24 hour period.  Management says, "If they can run 1 minute with different
