Oracle12cR2 Rman and Data Protector recovery catalog export fails

Hi folks, this is my first posting so please forgive any protocol violations I may make.

I've just upgraded our Oracle database from Oracle11gR2 to Oracle12cR2 and now the backup of the recovery catalog is failing. I'm using rman and Data Protector to create the backup and as you can see below the failure is in starting the export.

      Backup of Data Protector managed control file backup completed.
