How to deal with Project and task in Inventory "Default Stage" in Pick release form

We are trying to automate the Pick Release process and I know that there is Pick Release SRS program available for that. But...

1. we can have multiple distinct combinations of project and task on sales order lines and stock reserved from locators having varied project and task (Locator being Row.Rack.Bin.Aisle.Project.Task).

2. This means that every time we pick release via Pick release form, one has to enter the Default Stage locator manually.

now we thought of creating a custom program to deal with this, calling API WSH_PICKING_BATCHES_PUB.RELEASE_BATCH, but that doesn't have an option to pass project and task.
