Exporting as excel format: header columns do not line up with data table

My BI Publisher report is fairly simple, it's basically just a data table and a header.

I want to be able to export my BI Publisher report in an excel format in order to dynamically filter and sort the columns. However, when the data table doesn't line up perfectly with the header, extra columns are added to the excel document: (above, the excel document. below, the layout for reference)

I have actually since solved this issue by changing the size of each field so that they all line up perfectly in the layout. See a fixed - and slightly modified - excel document and corresponding layout below:
