Capture serial number of kit components

Hello team,

I have a requirement to capture serial numbers of the components that are in a kit at the time of receiving. Currently we setup the item as a purchased item. We are obviously able to capture the serial number for the kit item, but it is not possible to capture the serial numbers of the components of the kit.

This is a requirement from our supplier and we cannot purchase individual components instead of the kit.

Please share some ideas if this can be achieved with standard Oracle functionality.
