Throttle data guard network bandwidth utilization

edited Oct 1, 2019 5:00AM in Database Administration (MOSC) 3 commentsAnswered

Hi All,

I have a two node RAC on a X5-2 Exadata and have configured active data guard for my DR site availability.  My issue is that the gap between my primary and standby is now 5 days - due to no space in ARC destination. I have cleared the old arch files in the standby and now when my DG replicates its eating up all the bandwidth between the primary and DR site.

Can anyone guide me on how I can restrict the amount of bandwidth data guard can use for shipping the logs to the standby DB.  As this is not throttled now, its eating up all the bandwidth and my other applications are getting affected.

Howdy, Stranger!
