Safe Boot feature

Hi,

I was going through the document (https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocumentDisplay?id=2456895.2 )  and have come across 'Safe Boot', which will actually bring back the application to Vanilla state quickly. Does this also mean, we can use this feature to bring back the application to the previous deployment version.

For some reason, if the changes applied for a business requirement went south and we want to revert the changes, can this 'Safe Boot' feature be used to revert the changes to previous version?
