Impact of Removing Budget

Hi All

Our customer is asking the impact of removing link between Position & Budget. Position & Budget is active in the system, however it is not in use as a mandatory functionality, therefore they are evaluating to deactivate this functionality, My concern and question is, what would be the impact in the entire system or in other modules if they deactivate o remove this functionality.

If there a document or tips that support this changes, that we may use as a guide to suggest changes for customer.
