I am unable to search Warrant contract by Serial Number but I can search by Sales Order Number.

The case is, a CTO is processed and extended warranty item is attached to Model item in sales Order. The standard warranty item is added in BOM of Model item. Post shipping two warranty contracts are getting generated. If we search by Sales Order Number, both contracts can be seen, but if we search by serial number (Star Item serial), we can see only standard warranty contract. Extended warranty Contract is not appearing in result. What will be the solution on this, as business operating procedure is to search contracts by serial numbers..??
