Database issues since apps moved to OpenShift

DBA Community,

A few of our application and app-monitoring servers, that communicate with the database, were recently containerized (OpenShift).

Only since this deployment, we are having regular problems :

Almost every 2 weeks, the database VM CPU spikes up to more than 100% and hangs the VM (can't even SSH to collect important diagnostic data).

Because of this, the database CPU also spikes up suddenly and becomes too slow to operate. The only way to resolve this is to hard-reboot the VM.

This has cost us 6 production outages so far. We've raised critical SRs with Oracle Support, but to very little help.
