Automatic termination of warranty contract post RMA

I am facing an issue, where as per user guide, it is expected that, once RMA is created and received the item back, the warranty contracts will be automatically terminated. But in my case, the warranty contract remains 'Active', my expectation is, the owner should get changed to internal and contract should get terminated.
