retroactive pricing and encumbrance

Dear All,

I am new with retroactive pricing concept and i have some questions regarding that topic :

1. i read, retroactive pricing only can work at Non-encumbrance environment ? Why is that ? Why is it not working in encumbrance ?

2. if i already did receiving, before adjusting PO price. Which concurrent should i run to adjust accounting journal of that receiving transaction ? Or system will adjust automatically without being triggered by specific concurrent ?
